Allagash Hoppy Table Beer

Beer type: Table Beer
Alcohol Level: 4.8%
Brewed By: Allagash

Another refreshing beer that’s easy to drink. With a cloudy, yellow color, it has hints of fruit in the smell and has a slightly bitter aftertaste. The table beer is a Belgian style of beer with a lower alcohol content that’s easy to drink.

Allagash is a phenomenal brewery from Portland, Maine. You might have heard of them from their staple beer, the Allagash White. Allagash says it’s, “A mildly hoppy aroma full of grapefruit springs from this straw-colored, light-bodied ale.” Regardless, this is a good beer to try if you’re looking for something new to drink that’s pretty light.

Baderbrau Chicago Pilsener

Beer type: Pilsener
Alcohol Level: 4.8%
Brewed By: Baderbrau
IBU: 30

Ahhh Chicago, sure I’m impartial, but we make some great beer. This pilsener is true to its name. It has a great color to it and it’s got a semi sweet smell. The beer has the right amount of bitterness to it. Not too bitter, but not too sweet. Get home on a Tuesday after work and want a few beers? Grab one of these and you’ll be satisfied.

Baderbrau says, “Your everyday drinking beer. Crisp and refreshing with a solid but not overpowering hop bite, Chicago Pilsener is an authentic Czech-style Pilsener made with all American malt and all European noble hops.”  I couldn’t agree more with the description. You can enjoy this guy from a can or pour it in your favorite beer drinking glass and enjoy.

Abita Purple Haze

Abita Purple Haze

Beer type: Lager
Alcohol Level: 4.2%
Brewed By: Abita Brewing Company
IBU: 13

I’m not usually one to go for a lower alcohol percentage beer. I know…shocker. But, to be honest I was first enticed by the beer’s label. It’s got a nice photo/drawing of someone who looks like they could shred the guitar left-handed.

This beer is known for its raspberry taste and lightness. It’s a lager with a fruity aroma and taste that’s refreshing on a nice summer day. Next time I head to the beach, I know what I’m grabbing.

Abita says it’s “a lager brewed with real raspberries added after filtration.” You definitely get the taste of fruit and they even suggest pairing it with a dessert or having the beer as a dessert (don’t mind if I do).

Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale

Beer type: Ale
Alcohol Level: 7.5%
Brewed By: Lagunitas Brewing Company
IBU: 64.20

What a beer, this is definitely one of my go-to’s when I head to a liquor store. It’s an easy beer to drink with a high alcohol content. It hints aromas of fruit and sweetness then kicks with a bitter aftertaste.

Lagunitas states it’s “A hoppy pale wheat ale that is great for IPA fans but so smooth that the hefeweizen fans dig it too.” I agree because most beer drinkers can get enjoy this one. Plus, Lagunitas never disappoints in my opinion.
